intibint (Noha Al Maghafi) is a singer-songwriter and producer of Yemeni heritage based in London. Her music is a depiction of her experiences growing up between two worlds as a Yemeni woman in a Western environment. The pseudonym ‘intibint’ stands for ‘you are a girl’ in Arabic, usually meant to undermine women. intibint uses the name to challenge the narrative of an Arab woman's position in society, through her music and art. intibint is also the founder of Al Yamaniah an online platform that highlights the work of Yemeni women in arts, society and culture.
