Mosaic is a short film exploring the profound symbolism of food and its connection to cultural identity, inviting the audience to escape the constraints of a rule-bound world. It takes viewers on an abstract and playful journey, traversing life's various stages through culturally significant food staples. The narrative artfully weaves a distinctive identity from the intricate layers of diverse cultural backgrounds.
In 2020, Covid-19 had a considerable impact on the Arts and in turn our programmes. We had to step back and consider how creating work may be possible. In doing so, we were able to reconfigure our programmes to include both online and in-person activities; aimed at exploring multi arts collaboration through film while navigating a new normal. This is a short film created by our London artists in residence in 2020.
