AN(OTHER) is a short film that explores a dystopian future on Mars where a diverse group of nations has colonised the planet, grappling with the imposition of language and a nuclear defense system. The narrative reflects the impact of global political shifts and the quest for survival in a crumbling world, culminating in a surreal, thought-provoking conclusion as everything turns white.
In 2020, Covid-19 had a considerable impact on the Arts and in turn our programmes. We had to step back and consider how creating work may be possible. In doing so, we were able to reconfigure our programmes to include both online and in-person activities; aimed at exploring multi arts collaboration through film while navigating a new normal. This is a short film created by our London artists in residence in 2020.
