Mariam Tafsiri is a British-Iranian illustrator from London. Her illustrations are inspired by Qajar art, Persian miniature paintings and Islamic designs. Her art aims to present a beauty that is not commonly appreciated, with her regular use of the unibrow acting as a statement on physical beauty standards but also as symbolic of a country, a region and a religion whose beauty widely goes unrecognised.
